Transplant Seminar 13th March 2019
This is a short post today, to tell you about an upcoming event geared towards educating people who are interested in either becoming an Organ Donor for someone they know OR to simply learn and increase one's Organ Donation / Transplant knowledge.
For those of you who are keen to understand what actually happens and what's involved in Organ Donation, the testing steps to become a donor or to learn more about the Transplantation Process - this seminar is a great opportunity.
I was at the last one in December 2018 with some members of my Party to help them understand what is involved, should they be deemed a suitable match for me after the testing phase. You can read more about this in an earlier Blog Posts:
This truly is perhaps one of the best opportunities for you to learn more, I can't emphasise that enough!!!
I personally feel these Seminars should be held MONTHLY if not more frequently, but that's a conversation for another day!
Here are the details you need to know:
WHERE: | W12 Conferences
Hammersmith Hospital,
Du Cane Road,
London W12 0HS
|
WHEN: | 13th March 2019 |
TIME: | 1pm ~ 5pm |
HOW: | To get involved, please download the below PDF File (see bottom of the page - "Download PDF") and complete the steps contained within. If you have questions about the location, please contact the number within the document. |
You will need to complete the attached form as spaces are limited, see below "Download PDF"
Please do what you can to attend, as it will be an opportunity for you to have your questions answered by people who know what they're talking about - I'm talking about the surgical team, the transplant coordinators AND patients and donors - the people who have actually lived Organ Donation. Hear their stories, ask questions, spread the knowledge. Get involved.
Organ Donation Conversations with correct information is so so important. Seminars like this are massively helpful in that direction.
You can drop me a message either via Twitter @Naomi_My_Story or HERE I love reading all of your messages of encouragement.
If you are moved by my story and want to get more involved, please consider doing one of the following two things:
1. Registering to become an Organ Donor here: https://www.organdonation.nhs.uk/ if you do, be sure to let me know!
New registrations give me a boost!
2. If you want to help me directly by being tested to see if you could donate, you will need to be aware of the following:
- Firstly, I am BLOOD TYPE O-NEGATIVE it's important you know this in advance to be considered for a possible direct donation.Failing that, an indirect donation is still a possibility. Please still get in touch using the below...
- Secondly, please complete THIS FORM and someone will get back to you to move things forward.
AGAIN, THANK YOU!
